Another new book by Tynion but with another writer. It's almost like he is just throwing his name on stuff. The book feels Tynion, with the art resembling SIKTC and the antsy, internal monologue.
The book follows a journalist who infiltrated a white supremacy group. They are on their way into the woods for some ritual to summon a god for white people. I'm assuming Odin.
This book was hard to get through. It was like a group of hipster Nazis going on a trip arguing who is whiter. No white supremacists would talk or act like they are depicted in the story. It just felt meh. Like Tynion was trying to make a point that had been made 1000 times before.
Something finally happens toward the end of the first issue that sparks my interest and reminds me of why I do love some of Tynion's writing. Still, the subject matter and just the lack of interest I have in the book, I'm going to say: Not to Pull.
I can see why people would want to buy into the story, especially with his successful runs. This kind of feels like a combo of SIKTC and Dept of Truth. The ending saved it, but still it's a meh.
